Camille has always had an unnatural intuition that she hid from others. When she meets Will Holloway under unusual circumstances, their personalities clash. He is extremely rich, and she is struggling to overcome her mounting debt. But no matter how much they fight it, they can’t ignore their feelings. As Camille’s intuition starts metastasizing physically, it drives them apart even more. But once they are both in danger, their true feelings are exposed, giving them the push they need so badly.
The story’s supernatural drama is what made the plot work so well. I found the scene at the wake to be horribly humorous, and equally embarrassing. The two main characters had me so strung out emotionally that I wanted to slap them both silly. I liked that of the two, Camille was the strongest, even though she looked to be the weakest. And the showdown on the mountain had just the right amount of suspense to satisfy me.

Don't pass this novel by thinking it's just another of those "hot sex" books! Author Noelle Greene has written a romantic mystery that contains great well-developed characters,incredible writing that features good tension throughout the storyline, and dialogue that remains believable throughout the entire story. Wow! And this is how it goes...Camille Jorgensen, a landscape gardener, arrives in Blue Mill, Washington,after a difficult marriage and finds herself ditched during dinner at a local restaurant by Jason Holloway . She is saved and then driven home by his older brother Will. Camille is psychic, an empath. As Shakespeare writes, "By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes" and Camille know when there is something off about a person or a place. And this is only the beginning of this novel that will have readers hooked on every word in every chapter.

I could not stop reading! Recommended for those wanting a dark, dramatic spin on their paranormal romances.

I loved Noelle Greene's writing style, and Camille is a great main character: the perfect mix of strength and, by her own honesty, messed-up-ed-ness (what? I can make up words for my review). It was easy to become invested in her story, to feel her fear, her sadness, her passion... and her depression.
Honestly, that woman is put through the wringer. Every time she gets a little win... but I won't spoil it for you. This book is a great mix of drama, romance, mystery & intrigue. Camille & Will's relationship is passionate and toxic, so much so I was fearful it would end in tragedy. The story went in some really dark directions, and sometimes I felt it was getting too dark or too sad but I could not stop reading! I was exhausted by the end! But I was rewarded. I like my endings to be satisfying, and maybe a little gratifying, so I was glad the book didn't just 'drop off' at the end. I will admit, I was lost a couple of times (especially through some of the forest scenes... but maybe that was the point), but I didn't mind that. I guess I was little disappointed there wasn't more to Camille's 'gift', but then again it was nice to read a story were the paranormal side of things was a bit closer to how it might work in the real world.
Recommended for those wanting a dark, dramatic spin on their paranormal romances.
