Good book but ......

The kindle version is missing multiple page sections and has quite a few typos. I found certain chapters difficult to read due to this but otherwise enjoyed the book

Inexplicable
By R. Rogan
The original title of this work by S.L.A. Marshall was "Bastogne: The First Eight Days." I can't imagine why that title was changed because it misleads every person who buys the book.
Bastogne was an epic battle in itself, but it was against the 5th Panzer Army who were merely supporting the main thrust (to the north) of the 6th Panzer Army. The 6th Panzer Army had already been stopped by the time events at Bastogne really got rolling. So, anybody with even a passing knowledge of WWII history will think they are buying the story of the 82nd Airborne and the 30th Infantry Division along the Ambleve River rather than the story of the 101st at Bastogne.
This is a good work on Bastogne, it's just too bad the title is so misleading.

Good account
By Gary D. Schnell
I found the detailed account of the Battle of the Bulge interesting and well documented. The only downside I found was that it appears no one had proofed the text (it apparently was scanned in some way from an original) and there were numerous, obvious mistakes. While this was a bit of a distraction, the information was good.
